We’ve had Wendi come over twice to help our dog, Peanut, adjust to life with our new baby, and we truly can’t recommend her highly enough. From the very beginning, Wendi was incredibly compassionate, patient, and thoughtful with both us and Peanut. What stood out most was how practical and personalized her guidance was — she didn’t give generic training advice, but instead made recommendations that genuinely fit our lifestyle and routines. Her approach felt supportive rather than overwhelming, which made it much easier for us to stay consistent and confident. In just two visits, we saw a huge positive difference in Peanut’s behavior and overall comfort around the baby. Wendi has truly made a lasting impact on our family, and we’re so grateful for her help.
Wendi is amazing!! I have a very dog reactive rescue dog, Bindi, and dealing with her excitement has been stressful, and at times, even scary. She barks at other dogs on sight. She will try to jump into our busy street and attempts to drag me down the apartment stairs. I was giving her an unhealthy amount of treats just to get through a walk or potty break at a minimal level of safety. My dog is also pretty sensitive and gets nervous around new people. When I first got her from the shelter, I could not say the word, "no" without her running away and peeing. I was really nervous that a trainer would scare her, however, Wendi was great. She tailored her training to Bindi's needs and personality. Wendi taught me so much about how a dog's brain works. I feel better informed about how to actually help my dog. She helped me teach Bindi firm boundaries without using the word, "no." She taught me how to manage her excitement, and to make sure I'm giving her treats at the right time. She taught me how to walk with her safely, so she's right by my side when we go down the stairs and walk down a busy road. Our walks are so much less stressful, and I feel more confident in my ability to keep my dog safe. I used to count down every minute of our 30 minute walks, and now we are hitting 45 minutes without me even noticing. I am so thankful for Wendi's help, and I highly recommend her!
GREAT dog owner trainer. My dogs have turned around thanks to her teaching ME how to understand their needs much better. No more dog fights, growling, lunging or me getting hurt. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Unfortunately my dog developed further behavior issues and I never got a callback from her after reaching out to her two or three times to come back. I ended up going to Petsmart where they did a wonderful job.
I highly recommend Wendi and her dog training expertise! I have been impressed at the results of her training for me and my sweet little rescue Maltipoo. Pretty immediately after our first session, I had a much calmer and obedient dog!

What i enjoy about working with her is that she’s easy going, listens well, and 1000% passionate about teaching us humans how to communicate with our dog(s). The biggest thing for me is that I want to learn and she absolutely wants to help in anyway that she can through analogies, past or present experiences, and ultimately, understanding how dogs are wired. Wendi has become an integral part of our dog's happy life. We found her in 2020 when we had our hands full with the pandemic and a newborn baby. Right away we felt a huge sense of relief knowing she is helping our large, energetic Rottweiler get the exercise and training that he needs. He gets so excited to see her, it's clear she has an impressive way of balancing control and compassion with her doggie clients. She has provided us with some great tips for improving his behavior at home and making our walks easy and stress-free. Thanks to Wendi's guidance, I can now walk our big boy on my own while pushing a stroller! Our neighbors have even seen her in-action and enlisted her help with their own dogs. She is also very flexible and considerate of our scheduling needs. We are very grateful for the level of care, attention, and coaching that Wendi provides!
Wendy is the real deal. Her knowledge of dogs is very impressive. Wendy took control as soon as she walked into our home correcting Elly greeting her at the door again quiet impressive. When my husband and I sat down with Wendy we went through our issues after that we went right to work. We as pet parents were shown how to correct Elly's issues. Elly is a pitbull puppy who's 11 weeks old and was explained why she was acting out. Since hiring Wen's Waggin Tails we have the tools to be great puppy parents to Elly. Looking forward to learning more as Elly grows I VERY much recommend Wendy @ Wen's Waggin Tails you will be impressed by her knowledge of both human and dog interaction.
There are people outside the yard and once I claimed the fence they laid down but are still aware. Wendi taught me this. Before I had a session with her I had two sessions with a “positive reinforcement” trainer. She told me I needed to continue to walk my rescue littermate sisters by themselves for 3 weeks and there is a huge possibility I would never be able to walk them together. Wendi came in day one and I was able to walk them PERFECTLY, zero reactions, by my side the whole time, would sit, and look up when we stopped the very next day!! It has been two weeks and I get compliments every single day I walk them about how well trained they are. One class with Wendi made me break the impossible. Highly recommend her!!!
Absolutely Amazing Experience! Met with Wendi of "Wens Waggin Tails" today and cannot express how amazing and knowledgeable she is! She taught us things that we never would have thought were important for the betterment of not only our rescue pups, but our lives as well. She explained behaviors, where they possibly stem from and gave us much needed understanding in the mentality of our girl. She is extremely personable, compassionate, thorough and speaks in a way where you can understand yet not feel like you're being talked down to. We are looking forward to our next training session with her and very excited knowing that with her guidance, we, and our pup, will be able to achieve our fullest potential! Thank you Wen!!!
Wendy is absolutely amazing not only does she help train your fur baby but she also trains you. She really breaks things down in a comprehensive form to where even the newest of parents will have no problems.
